Bapu Group is hiring an “Accountant” for its Head office, based in Pune.

Department:  Accounts & Finance

Basic Qualification & Skills

  • 1) Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance/Commerce
  • 2) 3+ years’ experience in Accounts and Finance
  • 3) Competency in software applications including Tally ERP 9, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • 4) Proficiency in budgets optimization, fund flows and utilisation from an NGO framework
  • 5) Ability to liaise with donors,Consultants, Vendors, banks, financial institutions, and present financials to Board members, work cooperatively with all team members.
  • 6) Is fluent in English, Marathi and is comfortable with Hindi
  • 7) Must have 100% principal accuracy in accountancy, good understanding of general principles, account heads, Tally based accountancy, etc.
  • 8) Preferable – Accountancy experience in NGO, Projects management, working knowledge about FCRA compliances
  • 9) Should have basic working knowledge of laws applying on NGOs/Trust/Non-Profit Organisations.
  • 10) Working knowledge of budgets,utilisation, ledger heads, reconciliation etc.
  • 11) Team work and coordination skills across internal teams and external service providers.
  • 12) Good communication skills, being co-operative, being able to work independently and being a team player are most desired qualities.
  • 13) Having a leadership oriented approach.

Job Description

  • 1) Maintain tally accounts of organization with 100% principal accuracy
  • 2) Proficiency in budgets optimization, fund flows and utilisation from an NGO framework
  • 3) Knowledge of cost center/cost category in tally software suitable for funding agency requirements
  • 4) Maintaining bank and cash balances , daily and monthly reconciliations
  • 5) Maintaining accounts system, day to day accounting, documentation of cash, assets and stocks
  • 6) Assist with regular periodic tax returns, insurances, EPF, other tax and staff welfare compliances, applicability of TDs under various sections
  • 7) Presenting excellent financial data reports on monthly basis, with studious approach on between projects fund flow trends, summary sheets of financial status and projections for the year, study of optimization of finance
  • 8) Preparing excellent utilizations and projection reports for financial partners
  • 9) Support for quarterly, yearly audits, external and internal audits
  • 10)Monthly Salary calculations, exemptions, deductions, etc.
  • 11) Liaison with donors, bankers, financial institutions, tax authorities, auditors, board members, charitable commissioners’ office, FCRA department and others as needed, to ensure compliances of different kinds.

Salary:35000 to 45000 per month
Reference:At least 2 references of the previous employers (Immediate Reporting Authority) in Finance & Accounts.
